They say that the country of Chile has living soil, because it's on a tectonic plate and its constantly moving. Because of this, Chile is prone to a lot of earthquakes, so therefore all their buildings are built to be strong so they won't collapse. Since I've been in Chile, I have been waiting to feel these earthquake they speak of...but I haven't felt any. They told me there have been two you could feel since I have been here, but they were during the night. So I was sleeping and they didn't wake me up. That's the life of a missionary, you are so tired you'll sleep through earthquakes.
Macarena is still going strong!!! She came to the ward's family home evening again. She actually turned out to be the only one who showed up, so we gave her a tour of the church and taught her about baptism, which was the lesson we had planned for everyone. It was really good.
We also invited her to see some baptisms on Saturday in the chapel next to the temple and she told us she could! But some things didn't work out and we got some information wrong, but we continued anyway and she got a tour of the temple. She said she felt tranquility and comfortable in the temple. It was cool to get to enter again and experience that with her because I love the temple!
She came to church this past Sunday too and brought a friend! She really likes it and likes the people. She loves talking to the members and getting to know them. And the lessons we have with her are super powerful and full of the spirit. I just hope that she gets to feel the spirit all the time.
We also met with another interesting investigator named Ariel, who loves to read the Book of Mormon. He had met with the missionaries before and read a lot of chapters. He says he likes to pick it up when he has free time and read. He also underlines things he has questions about and doesn't understand. I hope we can teach him well, and also get him to come to church!
Well that's all that has happened this week. A cambio has passed and I am staying in my area for another six weeks, which I am excited about because I get to stay with Macarena!
Love,
Hermana Reed

| We used to live with Hermana Lewis and Hermana Gonzalez, but they moved away. So we visited them last Pday and got to eat delicious Argentinan empanadas! Hermana Gonzales is from Argentina. |
